The game that blew my mind as a kid the first time I played it. The graphics, animation, game play mechanics (driving vehicles especially), everything just blew me away. Now I shouldn’t have played a certified 18+ game as a kid and it is not because of the obvious factors, it’s because of the simple fact that kids are dumb! They are just stupid, snivelling, snotty. The game just nails the 80’s vibes. Its got the right art design, over-the-top story, rediculous gameplay mechanics and the pure 80’s soundtrack… oh lord the soundtrack! Like all other GTAs, the writing is just bloody incredible. The dialogues are expertly brought to life by some of the greatest actors of all time like Dennis Hopper, Ray Liotta, William Fichtner, Burt Reynolds, Danny Trejo, and many others – easily the best voice casting of any GTA. I’m not sure how wrong I am by saying this but one big reason why this game still holds up today is for its ‘vibes’ or nostalgia, everything else – like the A.I and Physics – no longer holds up by today’s standards unfortunately.
